Dt.Mehmet Ali Arslan graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry (Çapa) in 2008. Since 2009 he has been seeing patients at his own practice, with a focus on cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.
The biggest benefit of a private practice is continuity. The dentist who plans your treatment is the one who carries it out and sees you at every check-up. Your questions go straight to your dentist, not to an assistant or a call centre.
For implants, he first assesses your bone structure and general health, then plans the treatment step by step. For zirconia crowns, veneers and smile design, he shows you the colour, shape and harmony with your lip line before any work begins. The goal is a smile that still looks natural years later.

Smile Design
White comes in shades.
For zirconia and veneers, the colour is chosen with the VITA shade guide to match your skin tone, the whites of your eyes and your other teeth. Too white looks artificial; the right shade goes unnoticed and simply looks good.
On-screen colours are approximate. The actual shade is chosen at the clinic, in daylight, with the physical guide.

What happens at the first examination?
An oral examination is carried out, with a panoramic X-ray and photos if needed. We listen to your complaint and expectations, then explain the treatment options together with duration and cost.
Zirconia crowns or veneers: which is right for me?
Veneers are thin porcelain shells applied to healthy teeth with minimal preparation. Zirconia crowns cover the whole tooth and are more durable. Which suits you depends on your tooth structure, bite and colour, and is decided at the examination.
Is implant treatment painful?
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, so you feel no pain during it. Sensitivity in the following few days is usually controlled with the recommended painkillers.
Does teeth whitening damage the teeth?
Whitening done under a dentist's supervision at the right concentration does not permanently harm the enamel. Temporary sensitivity may occur and passes within a few days.
How are treatment fees determined?
Fees depend on the procedures, the materials used and the number of sessions. After the examination you receive a written, itemised treatment plan.
What should I do before my appointment?
Just bring any previous X-rays and a list of the medicines you take. If you have a chronic condition, be sure to mention it at the examination.
